Breast Cancer

Breast cancer means the cancer developed in breast cells. It is a cancer type which is known that it generally influences the women, however, it also influences the males to a smaller extent. Primary tumor firstly developes in the breast, it may be invasive and may generally spread to the other parts of the body, notably lymph nodes and/or blood veins. It most widely spreads to lungs, skin, liver and soft tissue. The number of lymph node having cancerous cell continues to be the best indicator of how much the cancer spreads.

Among the most prevalent breast cancer types

  • Ductal carcinoma in situ: It is the most prevalent breast cancer type developed in milk ducts but not being invasive.
  • Invasive ductal carcinoma: It is the most prevalent and invasive breast cancer type developed in milk ducts. The breast cancer type which is generally seen in males is of this type.
  • Invasive lobular carcinoma: It developes in milk glands.
  • Medullar carcinoma: It is a rarely seen sub-type of the invasive ductal carcinoma which grows slowly.
  • Paget’s Disease in Nipple: It is a rare breast cancer type which affects the skin in the nipple. In people who have such cancer, one or several tumor are detected within the breast.
